SAS8 Miami, FloridaSAS8 Conference Highlights - Testimonials

“SAS8 is a major step in the evolution of The International Society SAS, as it brought in significant participation from South and Central America. Of course it also brought in huge participation from our Asian Pacific membership, namely Korea, China and Australia. We are with the help of Dr Neel Anand working to incorporate an Indian SAS Chapter. All of this is due to the raising of the bar of our Scientific program and the participation of Industry in supporting workshops and surgical techniques of Innovative and New Technologies for the benefit of our patients. I look forward to reading the future issues of our SAS On Line Journal for these innovations and of course SAS9 in London.”

Dr. Hansen Yuan, MD
Immediate Past President, SAS

“Congrats for a great show in Miami! Starting with the 1st meeting announcement through packing up my booth, I was impressed with the overall organization of this event!  You and your entire team did an excellent job.  Everyone was responsive and you made yourselves available at all times.  Thank you on behalf of the Abbott Spine team!”

Latonia Booth, CMP

“I just wanted to say thanks for a great show this year!”

Jill Goodwin-Helgerson

“Every year I look forward with great anticipation to the Annual Meeting of the SAS. In just a few years, this meeting has proven to be the best meeting for spine surgeons to meet other surgeons from not only around the country but from around the globe.

“This year's meeting in Miami was no exception. With over 1,800 participants from over 40 countries I had the unique opportunity to talk to some of the most dynamic thinkers in spine surgery. Perhaps the most dramatic change in the last few years has been the tremendous rise in abstract submissions which has in turn resulted in a phenomenal scientific program.

“The Board's decision to include not only motion-sparing technologies in the program is to be applauded. We, as surgeons, can now count on the Society to represent us as scientists and surgeons focused on the advancement of spine surgery.

“Too often the politics of medicine get in the way, and societies originally intended for surgeons become diluted and loose their ability to help surgeons become better doctors. I want to thank the President, the Board of Directors, and the Society Staff for a job well done.”

Dr. Rolando Garcia Jr. MD, MPH

“All of you should be very proud of the SAS Meeting this year. It was a huge success!  Blackstone is very pleased to be apart of this vibrant society.”
